Packing Tips

Packing for your trip means departure is almost here! How exciting! Depending on your tour, you may have been provided with a packing packet/list and maybe even attended a Packing Meeting at your school. Read that packet carefully and pack your suitcases according to the list. The following are some extra tips we might suggest considering for your tour!

Consider using a suitcase with wheels, if possible. You will be responsible for getting your suitcase to/from the motorcoach and your hotel rooms.

Typically, our tours all allow one large suitcase per traveler. For tours traveling by motorcoach, there are really no size/weight limits. However, you must be able to lift/load the suitcase yourself.

Have you heard of Packing Cubes? These are great tools to keep your bag/suitcase organized! Not required, but definitely a recommendation!

Check the weather for your destinations/locations a few days prior to departure. Pack accordingly and be prepared for the weather to change.

Consider sharing any items with roommates (i.e. dress/garment bag, hair straighteners, power strip for extra plug in opportunities).

Plan and pack to dress in layers – especially during Spring and Fall months.

Comfortable clothing for the bus ride is a must.

Bring good walking shoes! Travel is hard on our feet and if your feet are sore, you will be miserable.

Rain gear is a must! Be sure to pack a rain jacket and/or umbrella and have it handy on the bus – not necessarily in your big suitcase under the coach.
